Doosan Robotics Expands Its European Presence with the New Office in Frankfurt
The fast-growing Korean industrial robotics manufacturer is expanding beyond sales into full operational infrastructure in Hessen, adding capabilities to serve customers across Europe.
Doosan Robotics, a South Korean manufacturer of collaborative robots that supplies customers in 45 countries, has opened an expanded branch in Frankfurt. This strategic move signifies a notable shift, transitioning from a sales presence to a more substantial operational base in Europe. The company held an opening ceremony on May 19, 2026, drawing around 200 guests, including partners, customers, and representatives from the robotics industry.
Doosan established its European branch in Frankfurt in 2024, building partnerships with system integrators and distributors in Germany, France, and the Netherlands. The expanded site will provide local repair and service capacity, a more extensive training program, and new options for product demonstrations and application development. The company has announced that its newly expanded branch will allow it to better serve its customers and partners throughout Europe.
The upgraded service model includes a local inventory of spare parts and the ability to deploy replacement robots to customer sites, minimizing downtime. Training courses now include a hands-on "Live Repair" program in which participants disassemble and repair robots themselves. A new showroom allows potential customers to observe applications such as palletizing, machine tending, and AI-guided pick-and-place in action. Doosan intends to establish an Application Center where customers can develop custom solutions in collaboration with its engineers.
Doosan is the latest among a growing base of technology and manufacturing companies that are expanding their operations in the Rhine-Main region. These businesses are drawn to the region due to its central European location and connectivity to key national markets.
