HTAI promotes Hessen as a business destination at Automechanika Istanbul

Hessen Trade & Invest hosted an exclusive event during the leading international trade fair to strengthen economic ties with Türkiye’s mobility sector

From June 11 to 13, HTAI conducted an FDI Roadshow to Türkiye focusing on the automotive industry, including a participation of Automechanika Istanbul. The event took place at the TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center. The event attracted over 60,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing innovations in parts, systems, equipment, and future mobility technologies.

As part of its mission to position Hessen as an attractive destination for international investment, HTAI hosted an exclusive Business Day focused on the automotive sector and electromobility. The event, organized in close cooperation with the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Alman-Türk Ticaret ve Sanayi Odası), brought together key players from the Turkish and German mobility sectors to explore opportunities for collaboration and cooperation.

The participants were Ibrahim Edin of ICT Cloud Computing Services GmbH, Jörn Siegle and Sener Akkus of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region, and Dominic-Klaus Diessner of Regionalmanagement Mittelhessen GmbH. HTAI's delegation was led by Andreas Damrau, Director of Investor Services APAC, MENA, and South Africa regions. The program was further enhanced by Katrin Pasvantis, the local representative of Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) in Istanbul, and Christoph Mester, a GTAI specialist in the automotive sector.

Furthermore, HTAI representatives met with Haluk Sayar, a Board Member of E-Mobility Europe, and Faruk Kurtulmus, Senior Director at Invest in Türkiye, along with his team. These meetings established the foundation for enhanced collaboration between Hessen and Türkiye in the rapidly evolving field of e-mobility and related areas.

With a shared focus on innovation and sustainable transformation in the mobility sector, HTAI looks forward to continuing its dialogue and future projects with its Turkish partners.
