Dear Readers,
Companies and institutions in Hessen are actively shaping the technologies and solutions of tomorrow. From high-security biosafety labs and state-of-the-art logistics operations to high-tech linear actuator solutions and world-leading closure systems, recent developments across numerous sectors highlight how our state continues to attract investment, foster innovation, and provide the conditions for long-term growth.
We’d like to share the following updates from the first quarter of 2026:
Danish electric linear actuator specialist LINAK is building on its 35+ year presence in Germany, modernizing its site in Nidda, northeast of Frankfurt, to create modern working environments and support long-term growth in one of the company’s key European markets.
Global third-party logistics provider CEVA Logistics from France is repurposing a vacant logistics center in Lich, adding value to the region and reinforcing Hessen’s position as a central European logistics hub.
Marburg University has long been a key location for discovery and research on infectious diseases. A new high-security laboratory is expanding capacity to study highly pathogenic viruses and combat life-threatening outbreaks.
Marburg’s growing international profile was further underscored by a visit from the Swiss Consul General, who met with city, state, and business representatives at the world-renowned Behringwerke Pharma & Life Sciences Park to discuss current economic challenges and the city’s significant potential as a business and research location.
Finally, HTAI traveled to Japan and China to strengthen Hessen’s international ties, engaging with key stakeholders and more than 100 companies to position Hessen as a strategic investment location.
We hope you enjoy this latest edition and find valuable insights into the developments shaping Hessen as a dynamic hub for business, investment, and innovation. Please contact us to learn more about how your business can benefit from investing in our state.
