Dear Readers,
Hessen continues to be the location of choice for many of the world's top companies. Our robust infrastructure and flourishing culture of innovation have earned our federal state recognition as the dynamic hub for transformation and growth in the heart of Germany and Europe.
This quarter, we are pleased to share news from the mobility sector, including updates on the automotive and logistics industries. From a significant infrastructure enhancement to the establishment of an international R&D center, these recent developments are redefining Hessen's leading economic landscape:
The completion of the final 30-kilometer section of the A49 highway, which was highly anticipated, enhances transport links between Northern and Central/Southern Hessen. This marks an important milestone for the region's economic development.
Continental is planning to spin off its automotive division and has chosen Frankfurt as the future global headquarters of the newly independent company, underscoring its already well-established presence in the Rhine-Main region.
International contract logistics group ID Logistics will operate a 68,000-square-meter e-fulfillment center at "Logistikpark Diemelstadt" in Northern Hessen beginning in Q3 2025. This is one of the largest logistics contracts with an e-commerce company in Germany to date.
Hyundai has expanded its R&D capabilities for sustainable EV innovation and reinforced its long-term commitment to Hessen with the opening of its new Square Campus in Rüsselsheim.
Moreover, HTAI conducted an FDI Roadshow to Türkiye focusing on the automotive industry, including a participation in the Automechanika Istanbul.
We are pleased to see Hessen attracting such strong interest from leading companies across the mobility and logistics sectors around the world. We trust that you will find the articles in this issue both informative and inspiring. Should you wish to inquire further about the business opportunities available in Hessen, or if you are interested in exploring potential partnerships there, our team is at your service.
